Am Dienstag, dem 11. Juni 2024, fuhren wir, zehn ehrenamtliche Mitarbeiterinnen im Diakoniebereich, gemeinsam nach Kleinscheuern zur Diakoniefortbildung. Eingeladen wurden wir von der Frauenarbeit der Evangelischen Kirche A. B. in Rumänien, um uns mit den Herausforderungen der Suchterkrankungen vertraut zu machen.
Im Haus Nazareth arbeitet Dr. Holger Lux gemeinsam mit zwei Psychologen, einem Ergotherapeuten und anderen Mitarbeitern im Rahmen des Vereins „Blaues Kreuz“ daran, Alkoholiker und andere Suchtkranke von ihren Leiden durch Langzeittherapien zu befreien.
Die Fortbildung begann mit einer schönen Andacht, die Pfarrerin Bettina Kenst in der evangelischen Kirche in Kleinscheuern mit uns hielt. Anschließend begleitete uns Margit Kézdi, Geschäftsführerin der Frauenarbeit, in den Therapie-Saal des Hauses Nazareth, wo wir gemeinsam mit Edith Toth einige aufmunternde Lieder sangen.
Anschließend erzählte uns Dr. Holger Lux, wie die Arbeit der Suchbekämpfung begann. Schon vor der Wende von 1989 gab es Bemühungen, den Alkoholikern zu helfen. Pfarrer Weiss, ehemaliger Kronstädter, half bereits in der Ceaușescu-Zeit Familien, die mit Alkoholproblemen kämpften. Die Therapie-Einrichtung im Hause Nazareth wurde 1993 gegründet. Hier werden nicht nur Alkoholkranke betreut, sondern auch Glücksspiel- und andere Süchtige, sowohl Männer als auch Frauen.
Wie in vielen osteuropäischen Ländern ist Alkoholmissbrauch in Rumänien ein ernsthaftes Problem. Viel Alkohol anzubieten und zu trinken gehört bei uns zu den traditionellen Vorstellungen von Gastfreundschaft und männlicher Stärke. Dabei kann man aber sehr leicht zum Alkoholiker werden. Glücklicherweise kommen manche Abhängige selber darauf, dass sie Hilfe brauchen, oder es sucht die Familie professionelle Hilfe, die sie in Kleinscheuern findet. Oft gibt es finanzielle Probleme, weil die Therapie bezahlt werden muss, und ein Süchtiger hat meistens seine ganzen Reserven verbraucht, aber manchmal finden sich noch offenherzige und hilfsbereite Menschen, die den Leidenden unter die Arme greifen.
Sehr interessant waren die Lebensgeschichten von 4-5 Männern, die uns erzählten, wie sie alkoholsüchtig wurden (einer von ihnen war glücksspielabhängig), wie die Sucht ihr ganzes Leben und das Leben ihrer Familien beeinflusste und wie wichtig die Therapie im Haus Nazareth für sie war, durch die sie die Suchtkrankheit und sich selber besser verstehen konnten und die Kraft zu einer Änderung erhielten. Einer der Männer erzählte uns, wie er nach 20 Jahren Abstinenz wieder zum Alkoholiker wurde!
Wichtig wäre, dass jeder, dem es gelingt, die Sucht zu besiegen, anfängt, an sich selbst zu arbeiten, um seinen Charakter zu stärken, um den Versuchungen widerstehen zu können. Mit Gottes Hilfe ist alles möglich!
